I directed a bloke from this thread here http://www.arboristsite.com/chainsaw/237412.htm to the dribble thread to talk to

Have I done the right thing ?

Well, Matt's looked after me Rudi but unfortunately I've discovered there's strings............

I can't really say anymore on an open forum, if you get my drift ;)

Matt, you getting any rain there yet ?

The chart's looking good for the weekend, I just hope we get the dumps they're predicting (although it's going to **** up my cutting, but so be it, the rain is more important)

Saws will go in the rain Rick, I mean real saws. Shelf queens won't but they don't go when its sunny either.

'course the saws work fine in the rain fine but that doesn't mean I have to too, particularly if I'm not being paid to do it. :D

The real problem is the tree is in a boggy spot at the base of a steep but short little hill which is actually an ancient river bank. I'll chop the crap out of everything getting in and out.

Sounds like you need a skidder or sky crane, which ever is easier to find.
