Up for sale is a Husqvarna 50 Rancher, First year model I believe, they came out in 1983 and all the plastic has 1982 date stamp, Saw is almost mint...like out of the box mint, only thing not perfect is later model starter and a spot on the handle that has been repaired with heat shrink

Fantastic saw! These are great saws left stock, but make nasty lil' hot rod racing saws with a little port wok...

Har har. Yes I was, wasn't I? err, no that would abnorminal. Umm thank you Mr. Magoo but I really would like to know.

I have a nice 50 crankcase (came with a gas tank I needed) and I have been wondering what to do with it. Hot rod sounds good. What cylinder?
 
My understanding is the 55 jug will not fit the early 50 case only the later ones ?
Thanks for the heads up. I have an old 51 cylinder, same footprint as a 55, that I can hold up to my 50 case. The 50 is from the mid 80s. When someone said hotrod it started to make me wonder about what might fit on that little body. Don
