I do like the small mount, all orange & low top of the 555 over the 56xp...
Well alrighty. A 562 xp is your ticket to drive in style....most of my wood comes from Arborists that have cut trees around my home and leave me the trunks which often run 18in +. I need something that won’t wear me out sectioning them...
The man knows what he wants. Go get it and enjoy!Good advice, I have an Echo 360T for the light stuff, but most of my wood comes from Arborists that have cut trees around my home and leave me the trunks which often run 18in +. I need something that won’t wear me out sectioning them. I'm sure a 545 would be adequate but a 562 will be fun. Kind of like driving to the store, a Chevy will get me there in comfort, but is it exciting to drive?
Also, I wouldn’t use any chainsaw without proper protection and care.
I assume your referring to the original EL46 carb's, but from what I've just learned from the AS members the EL48 resolves those problems.
There was a EL46 in between.I think the original was Zama EL-44, which later was replaced with Zama EL-48.
I paid $79 shipped for mine from eBay. I think those are all gone though.Just curious. What's the cost of a new carb if someone wants to upgrade from an older model?

Not on the Husqvarna 555/560/562 XP models, according to their IPL documents. Neither any Zama EL46 on Jonsered saws. There was a EL46 in between.
Probably an EL44. They are preferred over the EL46, IIRC. They work well with the improved EL46 module.I have a first run 2011 562xp, never an issue and don't even know what carb it has....

The 357xp vs 372xp is not even a close comparison. Where as the 555 & 562xp are almost the same saw.
That said, I'd likely take the 357xp (ported) over all of them.
357xp is 56.5cc & a 372 is 71cc. The 357xp is closer to the 346xp in size than to the 372xp & I believe more than a pound lighter... Not knocking the 372 at all, just saying the two saws are in completely different classes. I also have no use for a 70cc saw, so I see things a bit different than most...I looked at specs on Husqvarna.com and did my "research" before reading this site much at all.
My logic was 357XP was a pound lighter than 372 and almost rated same HP as my 262.
Then I started reading on here and just saw so much chatter about the 372 and decided to kick it up a notch. Big deal about the extra weight...
Besides now I've got the 262 and 350 for when the 372 makes my arms feel like jello after cutting all day.
262XP: Still most comfortable saw IMHO to run
372XP: More fun than 262 because you are up to your knees in chips when using it
I would think the 562 would be similar to 262 in comfort. Would love to try running someone's with 20" bar to see. Next time I see my buddy who has one I will try it out.
Then lucky for me because i have bothChoosing between a 550xp and a 562xp is kind of like choosing between Charlize Theron and Jennifer Aniston....
