Hell......I completely agree.

I'd never pay someone to port my saws. That said, I hate stock saws. They feel weak and puny.

It's like once something has been seen, it cannot be unseen. After I ported my first saw, and found good gains, I was hooked. Now, I port saws for other guys that are hooked like I was.

I've laid it all out for everyone to see too. If you wanna port a saw the info is out there on how to do it. I made damn sure of that. When I joined this site, most of the "porting info" was sketchy at best, and a lot of it was just plain wrong. If you need help on porting your own saw, and can't find the info you need.......send me a PM. I'll gladly share with you anything I know. I'm not the best in the game, but I'm willing to share what I've learned.

Now.........there are loads of people out there that want a ported saw, but have zero interest in doing the work themselves. That's why I have a wait list.

Also......I've even helped guys learn to port saws that are in direct competition with me. I'm happy to see people get involved in learning a craft. Especially if they want to learn to do it correctly. There are some people that port lots of saw and they end up as turds......those people need to wise up, or stop taking folks hard earned money.

OK......I feel better.....Merry Christmas. :)
TLDR:laugh:....Merry Christmas to you too Randy:)

I was working on the truck on a hot day and would not stop to drink at all. Next thing you know sharp pains.
Hit me in the middle of the night, I just wanted to curl up in the bed and died, but the wife took me to the ER.

I got very familiar with Percocet. A week of sever pain with each stone,,,

Good post, I like to dabble with porting but I am not going to try on a new saw. I do have a piston ported homlite 450 I am going to try my hand at, cut squish shave base adjust port timing the whole 9 yards.

Doin great Randy, cept fer a bum foot, been laid up a few days. Either sprang, gout related or both? Better every day though.

Still lovin the 346 you did for me! Merry Christmas, buddy!!!

My dad has gout, flares up about 1 time a month, keeps him layed up for a couple days at a time. Hopefully you rebound soon.

Merry Christmas
