Got the saw. Apparently sat in a barn for 2-3 years and had all the barn stuff like dirt daubers nest, straw, dirt etc. started up on a prime. B&c pretty rusted, lots of dirt, oil, grease etc. some paint loss but everything seems to be there and sound. Should clean up ok. Where's the SN on these hidden?

The only place I have seen any serial #'s on that series of Poulan saws is on the top cover, ahead of the upper handle. The ones with the front cover mounted hand gard, are right on that. Don't know about the Wizard though.

Gregg,

Gregg,

Like this...This is from my 3700 I believe.

Me too. Course all your new ope pretty much has cartoon characters explaining how to start it

LOL, You got that right! I think a big chunk of companies costs these days, comes from printing a owners manual in about 10 languages. I swear I had a manual for something a few years ago, maybe a Delta wood planer. The owners manual was at least 1/4" thick. But the pages I needed in English, was maybe 3 or 4. :dizzy:

Gregg,

Does anyone know of a model list of craftsman saws built/based on P600 poulans?
Cannon

I think you have something confused there...cause it sure does me. I never heard of a P600 Poulan.
Got a picture or something we can go off of? There were Pioneer based Poulans, but I don't think the made Craftsman versions of them.

Gregg,

I was using this part of a post by Chris-PA as a reference.
"
Poulan 2500 (P600)

Models include the 2500, 2600, 2700, 2750, 2775, 3050, PP255, PP295, PP4620, PP310, PP315, as well as the Jonsered 2036 and 2040. Displacements run from 36cc to 49cc."
I have a Craftsman that I believe is equivalent to a 2775 and wondered what other craftsman saws might make the best parts doners for it and my Poulan 2750. I may have misunderstood that P600 was the number of the model family,

OK, that makes more sense. ;) I'll defer that question to someone more knowledgeable with those saws. I'm sure someone can list which are interchangeable. I only have one saw from that group, a PP295, and havn't had it very long. All those models and their Craftsman equivalents, makes my head hurt trying to keep them straight.

Gregg,

Thats a good question Joe. I havn't seen him on here in some time. I just might give him a call. Talked to him last maybe couple months ago. He had been busy with work and cutting wood. Was behind on his wood cutting. LOL
I'm thinking they had a colder winter than normal down Kentucky way also, bout like every where else.
I miss his straight shooting humor..:D Plus he is no dummy when it comes to these Green saws.

Gregg,

Gregg, I wonder how Mike is doing as well. I ain't seen him since yesterday.

He had me working like a Hebrew slave all day. Mike with head (Custom).JPG

I have a couple of wizards for your viewing pleasure. Western Auto rebadged saws and sold them under the Wizard name. They sold lots of Poulans like the one shown below and apparently an ohlsonn & rice version also shown below. Generally they were orange. I guess they just decided to keep the Poulan green on the one you have. I love rebadged Poulans.
