Im no fan of extra wedges. Never seem to be where you want them.Where's the slip-on 24-way wedge and how does that conveyor belt shift wood please?

It does seem some of them can make a heap of trash wood in a hurry. It just seems a shame to have 60t and not be able to quarter everything but the big or ugly rounds. Might be a way to make a slip-on and pinned horizontal wedge, that can either be pinned at a few different heights or set just high enough off the beam to make the bottom pieces the perfect size of firewood for you. Might eliminate a fair bit of work in the right wood and easily taken off in the big/ugly stuff or for those annoying round sizes where it would produce slithers or trash in the upper quadrants.
Although, I guess it would require a degree of batch processing by size - kicking all the smaller stuff into a pile to be split when the 4-way was un-pinned.
This of course if not making having a hydraulic rise/fall.
All this said, there's plenty to be said for the KISS principle.

Slowp reminds me of that nice lonely little old lady in a nursing home that you make the mistake of saying hi to, and asking how she is doing while you are there to visit your granny. Then every time you go back to visit your granny she is constantly talking to you, following you around, and telling you the same things over and over, letting you know whats going on in her life and such when you never even cared to hear any of it in the first place. You know she is just harmless and lonely and is probably like that because none of her friends or family will listen to her anymore, but you still feel like dropping a couple extra strength tylenol pills in her tea to knock her out so you can have a peaceful visit with your granny while you are there.
You need to stop hanging out in bars and work on your self esteem.
Try working in an orchard picking fruit. Therefore, I am one of the most who most likely would fail. I find myself thinking about doing it each fall because the orchardists need help, but then reality kicks in and all the things that have been pulled, stretched, or overused come to mind. I put myself through cheap college "working in the fruit" along with tree planting and timber marking so I know what to expect.
You failed to explain that they have no desire to work. Now, did they tell you that or did you just assume it? Sometimes, looks can be deceiving as can drunks. Just as I said, working in the fruit would be too hard for many people on this forum. I read threads about all the aches and pains and operations and hernias, and pictures of boo boos. Therefore, I too can make an assumption and declare that such work would be too hard for many of you, including me. It is young people work, or at least people who have been doing it for years. It isn't weekend warrior work for folks who have been siting on their butts in front of computers. And, it is also either minimum wage or piece work pay.
Now, if you can pack a ladder around--no equipment doing it from tree to tree, set one up over and over and climb up and down up and down up and down with a bag full of apples hanging from your chest, go for it. Oh, and you are out in the weather and it gets hot in the Yakima Valley. It is desert. During apple season you may be starting out in 30ish degree temps and finishing in 80 degree temps. If you want a job, go for it. Some of the orchardists even put up tents for you to live in. They look to be quite nice and are health dept. approved.
Go ahead, move here, work in the orchards. I don't give a damn.
