I took yesterday off.......no way I was working on Veteran's Day. These were waiting up on the bench when I unlocked the door this morning, and all the Huskys were cowering under the bench.

A Husky cowering?! Either they weren't ported yet, or they're getting ready for a counterattack!

I really appreciate my ported 044 with the light wt 28" bar. It is not my most powerful saw, but the light weight makes it easy to handle in difficult situations, and it pulls that 28" bar well. For those reasons, it is my favorite "felling" saw. I'm sure your Red & Black baby would provide additional grunt w/o much additional weight, so I understand why you are enamored with it.

Will any of those be offered with the K (Kite) package? On my bad, those are only available on saws from Ohio.....

I think they have too much intake duration........adding more just compounds the issue. Excessive spitback has to **** with the M/T system.

The early 044 i had has a foam inner insert in the hd1 filter to catch that ,the newer filters do not seem to have it ,did they correct the problem in newer saws ?
