did ehp ever wake this saw up, woods port muffler mod.it used to take 7-8 pulls to get it started, yesterday 8 degs. 2 pulls, no more overheating and tons of power in the cut. it should wake-up even more after ten tanks are run through, fixed the cat for good.:biggrinbounce2:

How much louder is it?

Just wondering, not trying to start something.

Really Good Looking Saw. I wonder if it's louder then the original 2159 Tube Muffler over here?

If you wonder about the modded muffler the answer is yes I modded a DF muffler for my 357xpg it had a tube originally that I kept for times when I maybe would like a quiet saw :)

Well, I have to get me one DF muffler to do the modding on, and keep my Tube muffler for more quiet times ;) But I have to wait to the saw is broken in :D

The latest reports from EHP says that his latest 361s beats his best 359/357xps by some margin.......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

The Top port DF muffler I have seen is empty inside, like mine Jred 2152

I have a 357XP/359 muffler with the part # 503 91 75-03 L. It is a non-cat muffler. It has a baffle plate located inside at the junction where the front and rear muffler halves are brazed together. The baffle has a single opening in it located at the lower right hand corner as viewed through the inlet. I would estimate the opening to be pretty close to 20 mm in diameter. The exhaust port is located on the top of the muffler in the back. Why the engineers put it there is beyond me. It makes for a crispy-edged top cover.

Having both EHP359's & EHP361's I can tell you that both are really tremendous saws!!!

Torque is about even............the difference is that the 361 pulls about 1'000 RPM higher.

But you are payimg for that since the 361 is more $$$ than the 359!!!

I believe Ed has developed his 361s more than his 359s after that.......:biggrinbounce2: :biggrinbounce2:
