Has any one bought one of the new style 5020 poulan from cpo off the bay? Reconditioned...they seem like a great price and reviews seem ok .. I worry about a scored piston etc...want a saw to play with mod a lil one i can loan out or if im cutting with some one ...one i can let them use instead of my more expensive saws....thanks this one...s-l1600.jpg

And yes i have read the thread Mark did... this saw looks a a little different... plus im curious about the cpo recon ones....any bad or good experiences...

Looks the same to me, with a different uniform. Dad has one. Ever since I gave him a 5105(which I had about the same coin into) he doesn't use the PP anymore.

With the muffler opened up and re-tuned, with a properly sized(smaller) bar, they're a capable wood cutter.

Well i ordered one they upped the price in the last 2 hours then also charged me tax....i will pop the muffler off before i even gas it....I do this on even new saws...

this morning it was 121.... not sure why but they upped the price and nailed me for tax... they must have a Florida outlet..even though it says nebraska...

I'm going to bet the "old" ones you speak of are PP5020. That new one is a PR5020.

I've looked at the new PR4218 (which is different than the PP4218). Based on the EPA sticker, the PR4218 is a 50hr engine. The PP4218 was a 125hr engine.

My PP3516 is a 125hr engine. Oddly, their current PP3314 looks to be the exact same saw as my 13+yr old PP3516... and both have the same 42cc engine under the hood and both are rated for 125hrs.

I understand the EPA hours rating on the engines as is relates to emissions... I also use it as a general indicator of expected life span of the machine as a whole.

I bought a few husqvarna axes from the same seller. The fastest shipping I ever seen. Got one in under 24 hours

As long as the piston and cylinder are good and it does not arrive bent in half i will be ok....they should say your going to be taxed in the ad....I have only had that if they are in my same state...so i ask if they will tax me....it was an impulse buy when i saw it was 121... but i had to give the wife money to put in the account then it went up in that 2 hours LOL....plus tax...but as long as its not beat or scored im cool... I
buy reconed from depot all the time....2 mowers 4 saws 2 blowers a stick edger and a weedeater just this yearplus all sorts of power tools ridgid 18 volt stuff etc........Im always in depot....i see a yellow sticker im on it....mind you i pop the muffler off soon as i get it home... not on the mowers...I got my Toro's for 159 plus tax this year.... 300 plus mowers... some one used one once or twice the other a floor model....half price i could not get the wallet out fast enough....this was just this week see yellow sticker i buy LOL.28276848_10212403017693999_4713589680004207863_n.jpg

well the seller got back to me and said if your in florida in 2018 now you have to pay sales tax.... Ebay going to lose more money for this....

Hello Paul,

I'm so sorry for the inconvenience. Florida requires eCommerce businesses to charge sales tax in Florida no matter what. It is a new statewide law that went into effect at the beginning of 2018. Please let us know if you need anything else.

I stopped selling because of ebay and paypals fees... guess i will try to shop else where... they sticking it to sellers and buyers now....

Hmm, I sell on eBay, I wonder if I should start charging tax? To Floridians? I wonder if I will get fined
