Do you have any more decent size wood to cut?In that size wood I'm not sure how much you can tell, as you pretty much mentioned. Seemed like it was holding rpm's better for sure, and the throttle response is there too.
I do, glad to have helpDo you have any more decent size wood to cut?
Hey, Im not going to lie, I kind of got a chub. that saw was impressive responseYou don't have to lie, just because I begged for a response, lol
It's just a short three cut video, but it's all I can give you for now. As before, cut times are very inconsistent due to the wood changing size, a big knot in the wood, and purposefully varying the load in order to demonstrate the powerband. Never the less, I'm guessing that I have maybe a 20%-25% going over muffler mod and timing advance. The saw runs perfectly with WAY more lugging power than stock.
Yah , that’s similar to what I came up with + or - a hairsounds good brad. got all the times from first video posted and the one just posted (after porting) if anyone cares...
stock saw cut #1 - 13.1 (guessing this is the natural grip/pressure cut)
stock saw cut #2 dogged in - 12.8
stock saw cut #3 - 15.0 (appears brad is letting it self feed?)
muffler mod #1 - 15.3
muffler mod #2 dogged in - 13.0
muffler mod #3 - 14.1
Timing advanced #1 - 15.7
Timing advanced #2 dogged in - 13.3
Timing advanced #3 - 15.6
Ported #1 - 12.3
Ported #2 - 10.3
Ported #2 dogged in - 11.7
Ported #3 - 11.6
That’s a C.C. 2.5 sec lol ... from the test results it’s seems the ported Saw ( squish,mm,+8adv ) was quickest , 2) stock saw , 3) mm , 4) mm +8adv timing ... puzzling results in same wood with same chain ?????so that's a 2.5 second gain?
Wood be interesting if Brad wood show close-up of spark plug ...sounds good brad. got all the times from first video posted and the one just posted (after porting) if anyone cares...

Because the wood isn't good enough to even pretend that cut times are a straight up comparison. Also, a lot of firewood was cut with that chain since the last cuts.why was the same chain not used?
Flow-measurement ... another very simple way is to look at spark plug - perhaps Brad will show pic ..... no ?ok cool brad
so how do you determine if gutting the strato's helps ?
