395 and 390 discontinued?

was looking to buy a saw and emailed a vendor and was told they didn't have either saw 390 or 395 with the 36 inch bar and that size would have to be purchased separately. they are pretty big outfit, I had asked if the 372 was discontinued earlier this year and they said no. I tried buying one a week ago with a 24 bar and was told it was discontinued. not sure what is up. I searched and read a post here made by someone in Canada who said their dealer told them the 395 had been discontinued and that was over a year ago when the thread was made. anyone have the skinny?

I'm thinking they are taking about the saw with that size bar. Both saws are still available. Pretty sure the 390 will be around for at least a few more years, not sure about the 395 which is actually being made in Brazil now, probably be around for some time yet. I believe the 372 and 576 are going to be NLA soon as the 572 hits shelves.

Yeah they are clearing stock on 372 now. couldn't get a power head only either. 572 is supposed to be released in 2019 to USA

I just landed a new ranch to cut on and the first tree he wants me to lop is a 5 foot diameter oak. No better reason to get a new 395XP. going to get an eyeball on it this weekend. been putting it off for a year but now I think I have a good reason to upgrade from the 480CD

I did a screen capture of the choices for a 390 with a bar from the US Husqvarna site. There is not a part number for that saw with a 36 inch called length bar.

looks like the 395xp comes with a 36 option. a guy could always source a bar later for the 390 If needed.

I found several dealers who are listing the 395 for sale with the 36" but for in store pickup only. There's one new one on sleaze Bay with the 36" also.

I usually buy from baileys, but no luck this time. I messaged another vendor here but no response there either. I wont buy off Ebay. I will get a new one soon somewhere.

Personally I'd call Bob at Ashokan Turf and Timber or Madsens. Either of those guys can get you whatever you need.

In europe they discontinued the following saws because off new EPA regulations.
The manufactures aren‘t allowed to sell them after 01.01.2019.
