Hello all, new here. I have a 028 AV Super Wood Boss. Pictures of the cylinder and piston below. I realize that it is difficult to determine cylinder viability based on just pictures alone. It appears that on the exhaust side of cylinder is scored up past the port. Not sure if aluminum transfer / galling or cut into nikasil.
My question, based on the pictures, what is the general consensus and what do I need to look for in the cylinder? Does anyone have a rule of thumb on the depth of the marks and if they can be honed out? Also, anyone have experience with the flex-hone with these cylinders? I have used one in the past, but do not have the correct size yet for this one yet. Thanks for your help! Kevin
