Am I the only one concerned that a brand new member with no post count is selling a couple of brand new 3120’s for what he said is $600 less then what he can get one from his “stealer”? Why is the serial number hidden with the screw driver in the picture?

I don't know what to tell you, a lot of people are saying that they are seeing the 3120 listed either, I think that you're the first to stihl see it listed.

I HOPE that it's Not True, the 3120 is AWESOME for CSM, and the 395XP is a Great Saw, BUT at 25cc less, that is a heck of a drop

I wonder what his shipping charge would be to Oregon? That even beats Dave the "Chainsaw Guy" price, which is a Smokin Deal, and I can vouch for Dave, I got my 3120 from him, another Great Seller

Just an FYI to any new buyers of 3120's, if you have a hard time starting it,

IGNORE the owners manual

DO NOT use Choke and Throttle Lock

Choke ON, No Throttle Lock, 2-4 pulls it should Snort pretty Good, Choke OFF, 2-4 pulls it should fire right up

Even with the decomp, it stihl pulls pretty hard, set it on the ground, and put a foot in the rear handle, even though it feels like I'm getting a good pull holding the saw, it makes a Big difference, I can often hold it to start Warm, but cold forget about it

Typical Stihl Owner ;):surprised3::laughing::laughing::laughing:

My "Old Reliable" 266XP Likes Choke and Throttle Lock when starting Cold, my 3120XP, Nope

I saw a guy actually try that I stopped him. Said he been cutting trees since he was 5!

I spoke with him direct he’s sending me one I will update when I get it.

Not sure what those saws are selling for down south, but up here (Canada) my dealership has a new 3120xp power head only selling for $1500 CDN. That converts to $1115.81 USD. If I could afford it right now, I'd be all over that.

That is a SMOKIN DEAL right there.

BTW, a seller can add a B&C, but Husky sells the 3120 PHO, it's not even offered by Husky with a B&C.

I think that Husky may have a rather Inflated MSRP on the 3120, there have been others selling the 3120 NIB for well under the MSRP.

Dave the "Chain Saw Guy" in BC, has been selling them for $1399 for quite some time, there was another member on here, a well respected long time member, that was putting together a group purchase at $1290 Shipped, so the price isn't unheard of.

Yeah, being a New member would pop some red flags, but we all were new at first, and had to gain the respect that we (Hopefully;)) Earned. Paying with PayPal (Not Friends and Family) might be worth the $39, at least until the seller has Earned a Good Reputation,

There are some reasons for obscuring the serial #, Dave does it in his ebay listing, and has sold 63 3120's now through ebay alone, plus whatever he has sold here, he is a VERY Reputable seller.

With ebay, a seller like Dave might do that because he is selling multiple, identical NEW items, and a buyer could complain that they didn't get "THE SAW" shown in the listing, even if the description specifically states they wont:rolleyes:

I don't want to add any more confusion to this, but I am interested, since I use 3120's and actually just sold a couple that were bankruptcy sales from a nearby landscaping company.
I contacted 2 Husky dealers whom I trust. The one is close to me and the largest dealer to the commercial crowd (tree service, arborist, landscape, etc.) in Southeastern PA. He told me there are no plans to discontinue the 3120. In fact, he said he can get as many as I want in a week. He has not heard anything from the dealer end to the contrary. Then, I contacted the next closest dealer in Maryland, about 35 miles from me. They said the exact same thing. What was interesting was that their rep at Husky told them corporate is looking at the number of commercial versus non-commercial saws dealers are selling and adjusting the inventory supply to that dealer accordingly. So, perhaps some dealers who serve mostly homeowner or only occasional commercial customers are not going to be supplied with the 3120 due to low volume.

That being said, I checked the US Husky site, and, indeed, the 3120 is gone. But, if you check the UK site, it is still there.

That's all I got!

If it is off the Husky site what does the tell you? Sounds like they stopped making them but have a bunch in stock . Call Husky your self and find out.

I Did Just That, and as I posted in my 3120XP Discontinued? thread, the Husqvarna Customer Service Rep on the phone was not very knowledgeable about their product line, He thought that if it isn't on the website, it must be discontinued. Then he tried to interest me in a 455 Rancher, or 460 Rancher, or if I needed a "Pro Saw" a 550XP, seriously?:surprised3::(

I could understand a 395XP, being the next largest saw Husky offers, and stihl listed on the website, But a 455, or 460 Ranchers:eek::rolleyes:

So unfortunately, even contacting the publicly available Husqvarna personel, it is a DEFINITE, We Don'T KNOW, (Much anyway:()

Thanks for the "Plug" Lukas...
Yes I know I'm new here and didn't come out of the Arborist Site "Womb" with a 1000+ posts.
I stated that I also have them for sale on Flea Bay.I have 260+100% feedback with no negatives.Check out the "sold" listings under chainsaws and chainsaw parts...I've sold a few there. Most have been local sales....
As far as being discontinued/no longer made(not saying there isn't any in inventory somewhere)....find me a 3120 with a 2019 build date in March....lol
Call "Inga from Sweden" at the factory and tell me what she says....lol
"Poll" my ex....I'm usually wrong most of the time.
