I purchased this saw about 3 years ago when I bought my property. They dont make it anymore but its a really nice little saw. 41 cc Everything seems to be pro grade on it except it only has one lock nut on the bar mount. Been running it like I stole it for 3 years now and no problems at all. I take good care of it as far as maintaining it goes. I did notice then it had husky stamped on the outside. Amd every other part on it has the stamp as well. Just wondering if you guys know anything else about it and AND WOULD I BE WRONG TO CALL IT A HUSKY!!!!!!!!

I guess Husky bought the Craftsman name. - Sears isn't using it. Looks like a 440 445 450 genre Husky - depends on cc. Probably a 445, as they hang an 18" bar on them. Nameplate is kinda silly - searching Craftsman 18" won't get you very far in parts lookup. Maybe there is another model # - eg: 358.xxxxx

I thought Lowes carried the MTD red Craftsman chainsaw, thats what I saw not to long ago. They looked almost like a Remington.

I'm not shure about the red one at lowes but I got this at Sears. I went there looking for a replacement bar before I got the tusmura thats on it now and the shelves where empty. Looked on Sears.com and they all said discontinued for this model. I guess if I need parts in going to need to put original husky on it.

So that was when Husqvarna was still making them for Sears. No that they got sold off to everyone, it's now a MTD made. Check to see if parts on your saw jives with the Poulan Pro parts. To me, both saws look almost identical.

My wife won't let me put my saws on the counter tops. [emoji22]

Haha. Those pics are actually in my garage. Did a little demo for my neighbor and thats what I was able to salvage. Little paint and brand new little work station. Im going to try and mill up a top for it instead of the pressed wood its got now.

We had some bad storms roll through here yesterday and I spent a good part of the day helping a friend getting trees off his office building.

He bought a red craftsman at Lowe’s just today. It ~didn’t~ run more than it ran, and then apparently smoked the clutch the first day of its life. I assumed it was some sort of rebadged Poulan, but whatever it is....not impressed.

That saw is a rebadged husqy 440, I had a rebadged 445...keyword is had. I took a mcculloch 3818 in trade to get rid of that pos. Husqy sells your saw as mcculloch... They own mcculloch. Sears had an agreement to sell them with craftsman stickers.
