The is a point in that. Carbon which is stored in peat is "old". Carbon stored to a birch tree is very fresh. It is coming from the air by means of photosynthesis. No. Forests are privately owned and you can not go and cut a tree. Walking around, picking berries and mushrooms is everymans right but you have to keep readonable distance from someones yard.
