The reason why I prefer the Stihl style of powerband is that it is more forgiving. It makes it much more easy to saw up nasty stuff like hedge, locust and hickory. Particularly anything that is knotty. Torque matters when you hit a tough knot.

It's like comparing a 300hp V6 to a 300hp V8. They both make the same power and both will run just as fast, but one does it at a more relaxed pace.

No doubt that saw is quick, dammmmm.

So do me and nanny need to send you our saws for testing?

I would give you unbiased video of both running whatever with times in small and big wood. I have 16's and 32's for both of those saws and a 18-20 also.
could run square on 16" and square on 32's.

You want them to run like that 2171, I know who to get to do them and Manny builds his own.

Oh, NO. Nanny says they make the same kind of power. You must be wrong, the saw builder is right:dizzy: :dizzy: :dizzy:

LOL

You want TORQUE you should have gotten the Dolmar 7900 over the 441 that weighes more with lot less power. :hmm3grin2orange:

Like comparing a 3/4 ton truck with a Chevette 4 cyl to a Camaro 454 8 cyl

Yeah, yeah......I know. I did try a 7300 once and it just felt, well, funny to me. It cut great and all but just felt kinda awkward.

I honestly couldn't tell a bit of difference in weight whatsoever. The airfilter design reminded of any old Stihl. It had quite a bit of crap in it pretty quick.

My 441 has been relegated to a 20" bar with an 8pin. The 660 does everything bigger than that.

The new 2007 updated carb cover took care of the chips getting in filter pleats, I ran the 375 HD filter,066 Hd filter, 7900 and the 7900 was the only one with no chips on the filter (with the new 2007 pre-filter cover).

Just teasing ya!

Yeah I know you were teasing me.:) Trust me, I would love have liked that Dolmar more. I'll probably buy one when I hear production is up either way.

Surprising about the filters. Not surprising the 066 was dirty. Mine seems like a magnet for chips.:dizzy:

Ya know,,,, That, just amazes me!!!!!!!

so many saw freaks on this board make such a big deal about chips on their filter?????? :dizzy:

It really doesnt bother me to clean my filter,, :monkey:

toothbrush

-1 More time servicing = less time working = less productivity.Which may not be an issue if they are less productive in the first place;)

I keep a toothbrush with me. (If you don't have one, they are cheap. :hmm3grin2orange: ) Takes about 15 seconds, (MAX) after every second or third refuel. Just do the one side. No need to remove filter.

As a tree guy who has run pro model Stihl and Husky saw for 20 years, this is funny. They are all pretty good saws, pound for pound, or cc for cc, they cut the same amount of wood. Splitting hairs, I like Husky on the ground and Stihl in the air. The have both made a few dogs, both made some awesome saws. Stihls best-020/200, 034, 066. Huskies best, 372, 288, 395. IMHO.

Chips in the filter is one thing. But, chips in the teeth? Please consult your users guide and/or operators manual for proper saw operation.

Yer doin' somethin' wrong,

Joat

PS: the "one side" thing may be a clue!

They both take the same technique to get optimum performance.

Sure you can bog a Stihl down and she will still cut SLOOOOOOW.
Whats the point in that.

Moron,
I can see you need a Nanny.

yes that ms440 runs, It's mine, I think it runs strong. (Gee did I just make your day)

Will it bet my 2171 ? ( you know better then that)

Will a stock Ms440 out due a stock 372xp.
So says Thall, But others have said different. (So take a coin and toss it up in the air, Your going to believe that over me anyway).

Now heres a Question your Nanny wants you to tell the truth about.

Witch 440 of yours is faster ?

LOL. The 440 w/ the box has never seen oil/gas and won't either. Which one is faster?? Not that I really give a fart but I run what I like. You prefer husky, me Stihl. Stihl has never given me a reason to switch......
