.058 tie starp .050 Chain

I have a little bit of 050 chain but I only have 058 tie starps can I make a few loops up using the bigger tiestarps or will it ruin the chain?

I know with oregon or windsor you can use the same tie straps on either .050" or .058" it does have a diff part number for .063" actually the tie strap is the same but with .063" the rivit hub is longer

I am pretty sure the straps are the same for both, might have longer pins since .058 is a bit wider but they should work. Make sure the pins fit snug in the tie straps, I know certain tie straps from different manufacturers will not fit all chain.
