First the silly question: Are all (4) muffler covers for the 066 interchagable with each other on the 4 different muffler housings? I assume so.
I'm going to do a muffler mod on my Milling 066 so the exhaust points down when milling, not into the log, and I'm going to do this by putting two ports in the muffler cover, and plugging the regular one with sheet metal in place of the screen. (I'll use a Lakeside style tube and screen with clamp for the two new ports - Thanks Andy!)
Now I need to have a backup muffler cover in case I mess something up in the process.
My second question is: What is the difference between these two part numbers?
1122 145 0807
1122 145 0811
0807 looks like the "normal" muffler cover that I usually see as far as I can tell from the IPL (it is hard to tell from the back side as shown in the Illustrated Parts List)
0811 looks like it might be deeper?, or have a heat shield on it? Or???
My guess is to go with the 0807...
Thoughts?
Many thank in advance to the knowledge of AS.
