So my 12 year old daughter has been nagging me to set her up a small saw so she can learn to carve. I told her there was a lot of safety training and saw maintenance that she would have to learn, along with how to finish the carvings. She's all fired up literally.............

.............earlier she help me burn this moose that I'm trying to get it done and delivered.

I'm in the process of building a new carving saw so she will inherit my little 346 echo dime tip. So we're gonna take it slow and learn some operational/saw safety basics and then when i'm comfortable with her ability to handle and control the saw I'll start teaching her to carve some little bears or something. I'll have to keep you posted on her progress as it should be interesting to see if she will follow through with it.
