1996 394 inner dog hole problems

Inner dog holes need help. Upper one is just slightly cracked. Lower one had to be filled in with JB due to it allowing oil to leak out. I'd like to have the dog. Ideas? Helicoil?

A coil isn't going to work very well with a cracked hole. IMO Sounds like the dogs are getting a bit too much pressure put on them. Sounds like welding time.
