I have the clutch problem solved. :D
I found a NOS Titan 40 clutch.

The diameter of both are the same. 40 on the right.

The different is, mine is 3/4 inch wide and the 40 is 5/8 inch wide.

The way the springs slide inside the shoes and are flat and arched were the square pin
gos in they should be fine. There is only 1/16 of inch space on each side.

Started working on the engine. When I got the saw it had no spark.
When I pulled the flywheel off, I thought I would see two coils, points and condensers but
there was only one of each. This engine fires both cylinders at the same time.
You can see two plug wire connections on the coil. I cleaned the points and changed the condenser and have nice blue spark. :D

I removed the housing with the handle bars, I tried to remove the handle bars when I first got the saw but they would not budge. I had to heat up the housing around the handles and drive them out. This took about hour.

The bearings in the housing look good and turn real smooth. so I will leave them in there.

I had to spend two afternoons and part of the evenings working
on my skip loader tractor. Put a new oil tank and hoses on it.
Yesterday I had time to do some more work on Titan. :D
I got the handle bars done and the engine housing.
Also I cleaned the 60 inch bar and chain for it.

The engine is next.

I had to get some parts for the saw and wait for them to come.

The pistons have a ring on the lower part of the skirt. I don't know what it does.

attachment.php

One of the rings broke coming off. I found one to replace it.

attachment.php

I got the cylinders and housing cleaned and painted.

attachment.php

The bearings in the housing are good so they stayed in.

Everything looked good with the crank, rods and bearings.

attachment.php

The crank case needed bearings and a seal.

attachment.php

The saw is going back together now.

Coming along great as always Cliff. My guess is that the bottom ring is there for a bit more heat transfer from the pistons to the jugs. Those are some long dang pistons......
