2-Stroke oil

Hi

Quick question i know once you mix the 2 stroke with the petrol it starts to go off. But does the 2 stroke oil its self have a life span? Its STIHL 50:1 oil.

Dont most have stablizer in it anyways now.

Quick question i know once you mix the 2 stroke with the petrol it starts to go off. But does the 2 stroke oil its self have a life span? Its STIHL 50:1 oil.

Oil in the container itself in a properly sealed or resealed if opened container it will remain good for years and years.

To the best of my knowledge the oil mixed in to the gas (petrol) does not loose its properties. You should however re-shake your container of mix at least 30 seconds each time you pick it up to a refill an engine to ensure everything mixes to gether again as much as possible.
