i am looking at a used 20 ton brave splitter, looks as if it was hardly used. i would use it just for my wood to heat my home. what kind of price is it worth. this will be my first i would own, have used some in the past. but right now my splitter is a maul. wife dont want to spend 1200 or more on a new one, (of course you wont see her swinging the maul).

please, need help on the price i should pay for one of this size, as now it seems as they are 27-37 ton models, i guess next will be 100ton +.

i know it isnt as powerful as most models today but i think it may suit my purpose.

i usual cut at 18" lenght, if i cant lift it in my truck i dont mess with it. i have problems with my back so after 1 tank of gas in my saw i am done for the day.
most of the wood i cut is oak, aand the rest is a mix of hardwoods.

thanks in advance guys
