Just wanted to chime in, and say awesome saws by the way. One of the best models ever produced. Over shadowed by the 372 in my opinion, but just as good as the best built of today, maybe better. Very well built, great handling, and power to weight ratio.

Yup. Add the 288 and 254 and there's a complete 3 saw set.
Those three made the company a lot of money and many diehard fans.
Be interesting to know what the final NA production numbers were for each.

Oh yeah! 288 man I am! My buddy has a 254 been a great saw, and you know me and the 2101. Some of them husky's that started with a 2 in the series, were just unbelievable, and among the best saws ever built, of any brand.

The rebuild is going great. I was able to clean up the cylinder real nice and just pit in a new piston, ring, and bearings. Gotta port the muffler and put it all back together. This things gonna fly when I'm done!

Not gonna be using it anytime soon though. Got a fractured heel and L1 vertebrae on Thursday. No climbing for atleast 6 weeks.

Man that sucks, been there once had a broken hand. Could not cut for six weeks, then probably took that, and more to get my hand back to speed.
