The PTO crank seal on my 346 fails on pressure test. But I'm confused. Threads I've seen here say that seal is integral to the bearing, meaning I'll have to split the case and replace the bearing. Somewhere else it mentions a seal # 503 26 22-01 that would do on its own.

What do I need to replace this seal?

The saw ser. # is 05 0600467.

thnx

Excellent. Thanks, Brad. Splitting a case is not something I've done, not something I want to do if I can avoid it.

So I just jam my special-made seal puller into the current one, pull it out, and set the new one in place?

More confusion: One IPL showed the 346 clutch seal as # 503 26 09-01. But I couldn't find that part available on Baileys or elsewhere.

Somewhere I got the # 505 41 61-01, and ordered that from an ebay seller. But Baileys site shows that to be the seal for a 575. Is this seal going to work in my 346?

Clutch side seal was 503 26 09 01 superseded by 505 41 61 01, flywheel seal 505 27 57 19.
