Deere won.

$120 to replace bars, top cover, decomp button...

Then I lost my senses and walked out with a shiny new 576XP-AT...have not even started it yet..

I said before I'd go with the carbed 576, and they had one of those too..but they are a very good dealer, with excellent service...and the AT was $21 more...and they advised me to get the AT..

I was going to buy a carbed 576 , but after I ran the A/T I couldn't stop myself from buying it.

I couldn't pass up the offer; Take it away on interest free payments. $790.oo / 3 = $263.33.
Haven't even started it yet..lol..

Love it. revs to 14,500....get a good sharp chain on it and it damn near keeps with a fresh 372 in hardwood (cutting firewood)..I don't like the on-off switch, too easy to hit it while sawing.
They seem to think the 562 is great, but I remain suspicious. I don't like the stupid squeeze-bulb primer. WTF does it need that for? Another thing to crack and leak.

The 357 cut some and limbed nearly every stick of this pile.

I used to think that the 357XP was a good saw until I had Eric Copsey do a woods port at which point it became an incredible package.

I ran a 562 another logger had seemed to have a lot of snap I'm not crazy about the bulb primer either. They had a bolt come out of the case under the muffler and it sucked the gasket into the case started leaking bar oil, dealer had to split case to put a new gasket in. Haven't seen them to see how they made out with it.

Did you get to chop with that 576 yet oldtimer? I've had a 575, 576 and two 576 autotunes.......they seem to be the strongest but take 5 gallons to break in. Until then a 372 is stronger but after is a different story.

It does feel numb. Only 1.5 tanks through it so far, no need to use it in the smaller wood I'm cutting just now.

Hey Oldtimer, Does that 357 have a full-wrap handle on that saw ?? I can't tell from the pics if it doesn't or not.

Pretty sure you need to be a "real" west coast logger to legally own a full wrap saw anyways....have to ask gologit.

Did you know that if you ask a favor of Gologit on his daughter's wedding day, he can not refuse the favor?

True story.
