385 operator presence lever

Say fella's I'm working on a 385 and want to get the operator presence lever working. I got all the parts in the mail, and I cant get the lever and the spring to all go into the handle. ( I can get the handle to drop in by itself. ) I've got the round hair spring portion of the spring away from the engine of the saw and the long portion of the spring down, the shepherd's crook portion of the spring engaged on the peg in the presence lever, what's the trick to getting this to pop into place? Also does the long bottom portion of the spring ride on top of the square projection sticking out from the starter side of the slot in the handle, or does it go under the square projection?

I figured it out. You got to put the spring in first, then the lever, I was trying to insert all as one unit.
