455 Rancher wont idle

The saw cranks good and then runs fast no problem, but sit her down and after just a couple seconds she dies.
The L and H are 3/4 turns out.

Try turning in the T screw a turn or two and see what happens. If it still wants to die, you probably have an air leak.
 
In the spirit of try'n the easiest stuff first ..... when was the last time
you changed air filter? I have a 460 that was do'n the same thing ...
would start fine, run great, but started idling down to the point
of stalling, specially when good and warm. I put in a new air filter,
and the pro'lm went away. Just say'n
