Just passing on a deal I came across, lots of people like the 460 and I wasn't expressing a preference either way.

I dunno about the 590 being a WAY better saw, but yes, I'd buy one before I bought the 460. Preferably from a local Home Depot, for easy returns in case it's DOA. Local dealer will have to jump through the warranty hoops, HD will just hand you another saw.
