are there any rumors flotaing around as to when we can expect the successor to the mighty 262xp?
Does Husky have a specific time of year that they roll out new models??

I'm going to start saving my pennies now in anticipation of the new arrival!:chainsaw:

Please keep us posted. The 262XP was one great saw. Had mine for 18 years. I wonder if it's possible to build a worthy successor to the 262XP will all the EPA regs, etc.

I suspect not - but we can always hope.......:givebeer:

Necessity is the mother of invention. We've got stratified charge, microprocessor controlled carbs, etc. and keep wringing more power out of the old two-stroke engine. The old 262XP didn't have any of that. Haven't even scratched the surface of what high-strength composite materials will do for saws yet. If they build it, I will come to buy it.
