Hunting groun

Actually we were up there on a deer hunt. About 9 miles from my house. My brothers have taken several bucks over the recent years out of the clearcut in the second picture. Most of the time it is foggy in the morning but on this day things were clear.

This is blacktail deer country, a smaller deer than mule deer or whitetails. Pretty hard to hunt the timber due to the brush, but can often catch deer out feeding in the clearcuts. It grows fast though, and in a couple of years this will be too brushy to hunt. We have some protected whitetails along the Columbia river lowlands.
