Could use some advice. My mechanic just called. I had asked him to tune up my old Homelite 1050. Actually I asked him just to get it to spark and I'd worry about the fuel system. He said the points were stuck together so he opened them up and cleaned them. He said the plug wire (orginal) was so deriorated it was falling apart. He said he wasn't sure if the ignition module was bad and he didn't want to start throwing money at it. Are there electronic ignitions available for this saw? I'd just switch over. If not I'm gonna tell him to just get a new module, points, and condensor. Any advice on getting my 1050 running again. Let me put it another way. I have 2 of these 1050's and I'd really like to get them in tip top shape again. What should I do? If the parts are out there a comlpete overhaul is not out of the queston, Joe.
