Just curious, who are you getting logs from?

As far as poplar/aspen/cottonwood being bad... don't know about that. That's what we heat the shop with, and I also burn it at home.
Sell quite a bit too.

I buy loads from a local with a self loader, haul my own with my trucks and load with an excavator, and I have an employee in the firewood business. It all depends on the year. As for cottonwood, I hate it compared to birch. There is a huge difference in BTU's between it and birch.

Yeah, I was just wondering who that was.

I've had a few folks out there call me for logs, but we don't haul logs that far. (Just processed firewood). I was hoping to send business to soneone that sounds reliable.

Yeah birch is primo, but Poplar/Cottonwood/Aspen logs isn't "bad" either.
