So I actually called ALC today. They are still in business, but have been bought out by a division of ALTEC. The original ALC family is retiring from all operations.

There are a cpl former employees of ALC out there doing boom service an repair.

I called to see what options I had if I wanted to extend my top boom on the new truck, and what length I could extend to. They said they could add another 5 feet, and are getting back with a price. I highly doubt it will be worth the money that I'm guessing it will cost.

If memory serves me correct, they wanted 40k to turn a forestry unit into a rear mount (extra outriggers etc.), some years back when I asked.
