BTW, for you Super Splitter users, wear gloves, that damn thing is sharp. Don't ask me how I know this. I am even thinking of leaving the chaps on for splitting.......
 
Thanks PB, I made a deal to clean this one up so I can get to the red & white oaks that are down on the same property. Straight 20+ inch trunks for 20' for my sawmill, the rest is firewood.

Glad to help! Post some pictures of the milled wood when you get it, would love to see it.
 
Tough splitting white ash

I am still waiting for my first white ash for easy splitting. The two or three so far with a maul have been like a bear from hell. Tough, gnarly things with somewhat crooked trunks. Haven't gotten one from inside a dense woods yet though. Tony
