another x27 thread

but don't really care what you think of em. what I'm curious about is:

has anyone figured out how to replace, restore, renew the Teflon finish on the x-27 once its been used enough to have worn off?

I've been wondering the same thing, it seems to me that it worked a lot better before the slick stuff wore off. Next time I use it, I'll shine it up and spray it with Slick 50 or something and see if that helps. Or maybe I'm just gettin' older and weaker.

I know zogger sprays teflon on it. Not sure how long it lasts though.

Teflon spray should do it.

I've spayed teflon on it, but most of the time I just use it as is, it works great w/o anything on it.

Mine stays nice and shiny, but if there is a way to improve on it, I'm all ears.

You can buy dry film Teflon spray on lubricant. You're just going to wear off on the first few swings again.

A better solution would be just to polish the cheeks.

I really like my x27. Very durable. I like putting my 2 sons late teen and early 20 s on splitting duty. Havent destroyed the ax yet. Believe me that means something.
