They dry better that way. The moisture just drains out.mmm,, why upside down????
Thanks for attempting to fix my error. I will enlist the skills of my college student kid for any future pic.I've been trying also zogger, it saves right side up, try loading and its upside down. Even tried loading it upside down hoping it would right itself. Nope. It wants to be upside down!
My wife and I built this one as we have 15 plus cords stacked all over the yard and it was time for something new. I hope to check moisture content in the spring. 6months after it was made.Is there any real benefit to the hola hausen vs regular stacking and seasoning? Other than it being a great conversation piece and they look really cool. I am splitting and stacking for next winter now and I'm considering trying one.
That's cool! How you do that, Gorrilla glue?! Oh, wait! I know, DUH! WOOD glue! They dry better that way. The moisture just drains out.
You are correct, 8 ft across and about 9ft tall. I think it's close to 2 cords. How big is that pile in the picture? It looks to be around 7 or 8 feet. And how much is in each pile?
There are two rings stacked and vertical pieces in the center. It was hard finishing the center on a ladder!I'll give it a shot. Wow beginners luck... Is the center just thrown in loose? View attachment 325312
