honey locust. I've CSS over 10 cords in the last couple months. whiter outer wood, and almost pinkish heartwood. and signs of wood boring bugs in it. they like the taste of honey locust. it will have a sweet smell when burning it.
Anyone know what kind of wood this is

Cherry or something else. Red maple does not rot like that.
honey locust. I have some of the same stuff with the same rot on the outside. slightly wavy grain line, and the way it almost looks like there is a bunch of lines running perpendicular to the grain line, all that is a dead give away for honey locust... keep it up off the ground when you stack it. the bugs love it.
