Ugh oh! I am in Maine and that is not far from you! I don't want to loose all my Ash trees.

More bad news...."SHREWSBURY, Mass. – About 90 percent of trees on a town-owned 13-acre lot on Shrewsbury's Ireta Road will be removed because of Asian Longhorned beetle infestation. "

I don't know what they look like, but I would put money that they are here. To many dying the last couple of years. Just seems to make sense.

I spotted some larvae in a pine I was splitting, the tree was dead and knocked over by the wind, lying across the road. There were a couple of Asian Longhorned beetles (or local pine beetles, which are almost identical) buzzing around the woodpile, just too much of a co-incidence. I promptly squish every one I find.

The only good thing about the bug is that it makes cutting wood real easy. You'll have dead trees EVERYWHERE!
