Got to run a Bandit SG-40 today. It’s in the shop for a poor performance issue, turned out to be a bad O2 sensor. Anyone else have experience operating one of these?

I have a sg-40 and I have no issues yet. It’s a beast for the size. Faulty O2 sensor, I guess it gives me something to look forward to. Well one issue I see is that the track system seems to struggle when in heavy chips & dirt as others. Good luck.

I thought it was pretty good myself. Tested it on a old stump at my shop. I don't think the Kohler ECH980 has a O2 sensor problem per se, this unit just happened to have a bad one. Replaced the spark plugs, O2 sensor, reset the control module, and performed TPS relearn. Hasn't been back since.

I have 300 hours on mine and put 75 hours on another that had so many hydraulic issues they traded it in for another brand new one. I've had major hydraulic issues, there's not enough hydraulic pressure on the tracks to even push through a small pile of chips in front of you or climb up a steeper Hillside. And now after 300 hours the engine completely blew up on me and I take extremely good care of my equipment and have been stump grinding for 4 years. I would absolutely suggest the Carlton over bandit all day. Hydraulic issues seem to be my main problem with this machine.
