Tree shears or blades mounted on a skidder , they only use saws on the yard and for real big trees

Never seen that before.

You talking abut a wheeled feller buncher? That's nothing like a skidder, has more in common with a front end loader actually.

What was the name of the logging show where they had the narrator pronouncing it "fellabuncha"? He had no clue what he was talking about. I also noticed when they used video of the feller buncher taking down a tree, they played audio from a chainsaw in the background. That's when I stopped watching.

How about when someone takes off spinning tires on a gravel road and they uses the sound of spinning tires on pavement

We have a pipeline by us that a company comes through every five years or so to clear trees and brush. They have some pretty neat equipment. Their two main pieces are a decent size skidder with a boom that has a attachment for cutting trees. Then there's a skid steer with a big roller for clearing brush. My son has pic's of them. Not sure what they're called.

The best part is they leave the trees if we want them to!

...or when they show a twin diesel sportfisherman take off but they dub in the sound of a 2-stroke outboard

"Hey, it's a BOAT sound, isn't it???"

Or they show somebody fire a 1911 (Colt 45) like, I dunno, 75 times? Without reloading?

Oh, and why do people in movies, even the bad guys, always carry unloaded guns that they have to SNICK SNICK to use???
"Uh-oh, Roscoe, he must be really getting mad, he just loaded his pistol with the snick snick sound! We better SCRAM and PRONTO!"

I think it was an old Jack Lemon movie. They were having boat chase scene with tire squeal sound when boats turning sharp

Casino was on yesterday. I saw the part where they were talking in the desert on a dirt/sandy area. Pesci gets in his car, spins out, blows dirt/sand and dust all over De Niro all the while making pavement squealing screeches!

Swamp people was bad about changing guns first time they show the guys getting ready to choote the gatters they had a nice pretty rifle then when they actually pull the trigger its one that looks like what u would expect to see them use... like it's been banging around in the bottom of the boat

There probably ain't one single show on TV that don't use sound effects in the editing process. Its very difficult to mic up underneath a car to get wheel spin noise or chainsaw sound as it would sound terrible. The only shows that don't use sound effects are like the news and other studio shows where they are all mic'd up and the sound environment is controlled. Movies and real life documentaries ALL use computer sample sound effects, if they didnt things would sound aweful. But I do get it, its frustrating when you see a 2stroke bike take off with the sound of a 4stroke being used. It just how they do it in the industry. Don't stop watching shows because of it, that's ridiculous & shows you just don't understand the industry. You would be far more shocked if you new what was really going on in shows like that but that's just how it is. Lol

We understand the industry, we understand it completely. That's why we're making fun of it.

There is only one way to screw up a discussion of bar oil and that is to have someone chime in about how proud they are to be using drain oil. There are numerous health hazards to using drain oil, like cancer, we all know that. But to flaunt the use of a substance in a way inconsistent with state and federal LAW, well that person should be banned for life for even suggesting a member violate the law. There is no point of pride in harming our water supply or another person.

Dear Mr 2dogs ****ing.. You sir, are an idiot!!. If you believe for just a fraction of a second that drain oil causes cancer, or is even a cousin of a carcinogen then idiot is way too kind. We would be lubricating all our machinery with Wesson's veggie oil, or a reasonable facsimile and there wouldn't be a fossil product on any shelves, ANYWHERE!!!!. Put your HOLLIER THAN THOU attitude in your pocket and think about the **** ya write before putting pen to paper, and foot in mouth. I would have thunk that at our ages we knew better than to argue over the net, and at long distance. Will old fools never learn

The holy grail of B&C oil is the % of "Tackifier " the purpose to make it stick like the proverbial S**te to the blanket the more it clings the better job it does Our tame oil supply guys supply extra "Tacifier for us to mix as required dependent on the job requirement we've found with the mechanical handling machine the use of extra goo up to around an extra 3% the lower wear rate on bar & chain is quite marked

What else am I supposed to do with the oil from tractor/car/splitter/small 4-stoke engine servicing? It came from the ground, it goes back to the ground, like we all do.
