The other day I went shopping for my wife
at the dollar store, for our anniversary.
While I was there, I thought I would look for an oven cleaner
to clean my chains.
However, I decided to try this other product.
GREASED LIGHTNING !!!
This stuff is unbelievable.
Spray it on, let it set for about 10 mins.
and brush it off with a stiff brush.
Then rinse.
It's cheap too.
About $3.00 for a 40 oz. bottle.
You'll be surprised.

I have a vinyl sided white house and we wash it every other year with greased lightning. You can buy it in 5 gallon contains at Loews. We dilute it and spray it from a backpack sprayer then pressure wash it. It does not harm plants or grass.

I've been using Greased Lightning on my dirtbike for 5 or 6 years. It's good, but for chains? You sawin' dirt? :)

Xylene works wonders on filthy chains, dip, soak 5 minutes, clean with bristle brush. . 5 liter pails of Xylene available at Home Depot.
