Like one of these ?

A Bitzer VI refrigeration compressor.

A German, old school, slow revving twin, quite possibly the best open drive refrigeration compressor ever made, I destroyed my back installing one by myself twenty years ago, (156kg dry without f/wheel) the Stihl 090 was modeled on these heavy suckers I'm sure, but a good sound ??

372xp 2101xp .........

372xp ,2101xp or maybe 181se all very sweet sounding. I kinda think it also has alot to do with the feel of brute power along with the sound. I believe (if I may) that is what J J was meaning when he mentioned the in the cut sound:clap:.
