I have a small woodlot full of tall black oaks. Many have lost their tops and the trunks on most have that distinct bend in a big arch. So the typical hinge cut method would appear to be the wrong way to fell them. Being a non pro with limited experience what would be the proper and safest way to bring them down?

Look up Coos Bay cut and bore cut, and avoiding barber chair on youtube
