A Homelite Zip. Old saws, made from 1958 to 1962. They were racing them 3 at a time at the Iowa gtg this last fall. Think there might be a couple more of them this time. Mine included.

I just found this thread and I will be there. What kind of wood are we cutting? How big? Are the classes broke up in different cc's? I am new to chainsaw racing, as in I have never done it. I have used saws for cutting wood, not racing but this sounds like fun.

First year contestants have to run the stop watch and keep track of all cut times supply the cants and buy the first round when the cutting is done, just so you know...:hmm3grin2orange:

All right there wise guy. I said I was new to chainsaw racing but I am quite familiar with Wisconsinites being being BS'ers.

And now for the main event! The legendary ZIP.....so fast the camera couldn't catch it all!

Is there going to be any short bar hinge making races?I think this is grampatractor trying to make the perfect short bar hinge cut. Those guys from across the river do things a little different:hmm3grin2orange:

this one?

That's my favorite combo to carry in the woods when I need to do alot of limbing, 60cc saw with 24 inch bar. That way I can double the work time before i need a break from 5 min to a whopping 10. :)

Looks like I put a full comp on there, I'll swap it back to skip when I get it back.

BTW, you look EXTREMELY bored cutting with that little saw!

Classes, men, we need classes!

I suggest one for blue, 70cc, American made saws with a crappy starter system. Also, this class is only open to those running wore out .404 semi chisel chain. No files allowed.

There's gotta be someone else out there with a C-5 that wants to race?

Also need a class for dogs that are able to chew through a 1" oak round faster than a Wild Thang. Ruby's a lock in that class.
