Chainsaw Vacume.

Hi all,will a large syringe produce enough vacume to test crank seals in say a066.

Use a remote fuel purge primer.
You can get about 1 bar of vacuum out one of those, which is about twice as much vacuum as you would need. Plus it has a check valve in it to hold the vacuum.
It is the short barb.
The other will produce about 30 psi pressure too.
But you need a compound gauge "like from a fuel injection testing kit" from harbor freight.

Btw, if you can somehow adapt a duck bill check valve with that syringe, and it holds well for at least 20 seconds, that might work if you can produce a few pounds of vacuum. I'm not really sure exactly how you'd do it except with maybe an Echo, or Dolmar style tank vent inside a hose.
Ive done some strange things before too, in a pinch.

Yer, just mucking around to see if I can do it.Dad has vac gauge so will connect it to syringe first to see what psi I can get before I go any further.
