One of the ms660's I have was thrown in the junk pile by a logger who thought it had a broken crankshaft. I went through and discovered the problem was only a broken clutch spider.

Well I actually tore this saw apart because I thought it had a bent crankshaft, I Was cutting a stump when it just stopped.. so I tried to start her and the motor acted like it was locked up, So I pulled the flywheel cover and tried turning the flywheel by hand, it was hard then easy then hard then easy. I saw that the flywheel was rubbing on the case when it came around, My first thought was somehow I bent the crankshaft... long story short after dismantling 90% of saw I discovered that I sheared the flywheel key.... that was the problem! Duh Me
