I read about some of the gear available in the states and Europe and I'm surprised we've even moved on from axes in Australia. Stone ones at that...

Although I do have a nice old Swedish axe thats fun...

I have read that most "Stihl bars" sold in Australia are rebadged GB bars, and "GB chain" is rebadged Carlton - so I am not really surpriced.......

GB chain isn't re-badged, it is Carlton, 'Carlton' is stamped on the plates, it just gets put in a GB marked box when it's made up off the roll.

umm, GB bars are made here, and they're as good as anything from the US
Our race axes (along with Tuatahis from NZ) are probably the best in the world.

Thanks for the advice and may get all those goodies when my Dolmar rocks up. What do joiners cost out of interest?

When you buy a roll, you'll get enough rivets, etc to make enough loops up.
If you want to use Carlton chain, contact rooshooter on here as he can help
