I read about some of the gear available in the states and Europe and I'm surprised we've even moved on from axes in Australia. Stone ones at that...

Although I do have a nice old Swedish axe thats fun...

Nations Capital....seriously
I have read that most "Stihl bars" sold in Australia are rebadged GB bars, and "GB chain" is rebadged Carlton - so I am not really surpriced.......

GB chain isn't re-badged, it is Carlton, 'Carlton' is stamped on the plates, it just gets put in a GB marked box when it's made up off the roll. ;)

Jak Max (Founding partner is an ex-GB director) also wholesale Carlton here.

umm, GB bars are made here, and they're as good as anything from the US ;)
Our race axes (along with Tuatahis from NZ) are probably the best in the world.
