Rings came from another brand of saw, (some things are racing secrets), I made a tool to take .3 mm out of the land. And as far as the revs go , I measured at stock form and 12500 is what I got, I do hear it popping off on the chip, I thought it was a little lean, but my tach says 14500 free rev measured at the clutch drum. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯, maybe I have a crappy tach . And I did pin the second ring, I think the combustion pressure should hold it, maybe I should,. And the guy who was asking about the reed, yes it is part of the Strato-charging process.

Did you add an indexing pin to the piston, or should I say "two Pins" if you widened the groove?

I gave two pin idea quite a bit of thought, and decided to not use a second pin, leaning towards the idea of the pin coming loose vs. ring moving to catch the exhaust. When I tear it down (soon) , I'll check on the movement. I have to do some more runs because I am experimenting with the gap and everyone has a theory on growth, my thoughts are if you use seasoned rings, they are pretty much set on how much they will expand and the gap could of course be smaller because new rings, and each Ring manufacturer has different formula for figuring gaps. I am cutting it close and went with .5 mm on a 47mm bore.....So far no binding.. The second ring should be ok because it's pushed down by the first one when it goes boom. We shall see. Pics soon

Light reflective off the drum and it's definitely 14.5k sometimes 15, because I checked accuracy on my truck...dead nuts. Compression is 225 now after a few runs and easier to start. The coil is grey.

I have a video of the tuning with the rpm and it's not rich by any means. Plug is a tinge grey and the top of the piston is shinny like new. I only had to enrich the main screen about a 1/4 turn past the original setting and the rpm climbed to almost 15 from 12.5. at those revs I can't tell by the sound, I have to use a tach.
