I learned yesterday about saws, etc getting all mixed up into the same thing. Saw a Weed Eater blower sitting next to a Husqy one...and they were exactly the same! Also a Sears saw and a Poulan saw. Other stuff I can't member, wish I'd had my camera...sounds like it all going to be the same junk before long. Jonsy Husqy Poulan, who else?

So is it the big mess of not as good quality as they used to be like I'm hearing?

There all good in there own way. In the early 80's a Stihl rep told me that Stihl was the world leader in saws, and that there was no #2 . He said that Stihl made 73% of the worlds saw market and that the vacum makers didnt even count as a #2
I have no idea what the numbers are now, but then it didnt speek well for the social structure of Eupore,,,, the capitalist Stihl famely beat them hands down!
Any more, it still makes a huge differance in who will service what they sell.
